I have been scrapbooking since high school, but always kept it very simple. In the past couple of years I discovered a great site, scrapbook.com, and got to see all kinds of amazing layouts. Since then I have been kind of stuck, being too intimidated (or broke) to try all these new things. Black Friday 2010 I got a cricut expression (lime green!) Then this past spring I got Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL.) I have been downloading SVG files left and right (there are so many fun ones!) I just started to play with Inkscape, turning jpeg files into svg files. Now the possibilities really do seem endless!!!
This last week I started watching YouTube videos on different techniques hoping that would take some of the intimidation out of it. So of course I had to go shopping. I got odds and ends in in the nearest big city, 100 miles away, with scrap stores, and ordered some online as well. Today my dry embossing tools will arrive and I can start making dimensional flowers. Then either by Friday or sometime the following week I will receive my order of gamsol, and I can start playing with adding color with colored pencils and blending them… I will have to take some pictures and post all about the experiences.
So many things to do and so little kid free time to do it in! lol
